Netflix's official Twitter account responded to the downfall of Facebook and Instagram by posting an on-topic Squid game meme. In response to major disruptions, Netflix shared a Squid Game meme that makes light of the situation.
Here are a few of Netflix's Squid Game memes popular in parodying Facebook's major Twitter outages (basically, the other social networks are not offline). Squid Game memes were common around Go, with the comedy website Funny or Die getting in on the fun with a series of back-to-back memes based on the hit Korean TV series.

While the 6-hour outage at Facebook was happening, Netflix was having some fun at Facebook's expense...and Twitter decided to join in. This naturally led to a few fun memes poking fun at Facebook, and there is no better way to capitalize on the ongoing viral popularity than Netflix's "Squid game".
With Facebook, WhatsApp, and Instagram down for hours Monday evening, it was only a matter of time until memes emerged poking fun at the situation. Many took to Twitter as Facebook's three owned properties went offline for around six hours Monday.
Some memes played off users' initial confusion over whether the three Facebook-owned properties were down for all, or just for them. The business cards given out to people invited to the Deadly Squid Game tournament, which had the text, WhatsApp, Instagram, and Facebook are down.
Tweeted via Netflix's official Twitter account, the meme featured one of Squid Games' pivotal scenes, where protagonist Seong Gi-hun is held at the collar by another player, near the end of episode 1, after playing a Squid Game version of Red Light, Green Light.
Fans of the twisty genre of horror seemed to be enjoying Squid Game, and they gave the show new significance with a fun meme shared all Monday across Twitter. The fact that the big three social media apps are owned by a single company was highlighted by a Twitter user, who used a meme about the squid game Dalgona to illustrate her point. Another showed a live feed, while Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp were all offline.
With the success that Squid Game has had, many other memes inspired by the show may continue to surface in the future, despite the 6 hour Facebook outage.
Given the amazing success Squid Games has had, it makes sense that Netflix would hop on the meme bandwagon, even if that is just for a light-hearted trolling against another media behemoth such as Facebook. The Facebook post plays like a video, but other than the suspicious-looking arrows or triangles, to a casual viewer, looks like a plain-old picture post. In other words, if a friend tags you with an interesting meme picture on Facebook, you see it, and perhaps react.
